| Combine the American leading biological research institutes'' empirical materials and the life cycle theory, this article studied the growing way of an institute from born to the world class status need the following five stage: foundation period, adaptation period, rapid growth period, opportunity period and the world-class period. Each period owns its characteristics and needs different leading style, this article summarized the different capability requirements of the directors on each stage. |
